The “Open Skies” trans-Atlantic aviation agreement set to go into effect next weekend between the United States and the European Union might be the best thing for air travelers since deregulation of the U.S. airline industry in 1978. more

Americans and all other travelers entering Europe would have to be fingerprinted under a plan approved this week by the European Union. But don’t start readying your thumb yet: The plan must be approved by all 27 member nations and wouldn’t go into effect until 2013. more
